Unless two people have been dating for under, like, three months, it's impossible (nearly) not to hurt their feelings by dumping them. That is, if the relationships had any emotional feelings at all. It's just is what is; you can't get around it. Be as gentle and nice as you can, but, frankly, no matter what you the person is gonna hate you for at least a few hours. Minimum. And that's if they take it well.

If your gonna get dumped it's gonna hurt no matter what. But for me the best way is straight up and easy.

Being dumped always hurts. But if you do it truthfully and without wasting his/her time, the wound would heal faster.

Thats impossible if the relationship has lasted for awhile, but here are ways to lessen the blow. Don't use trite sayings like "its not you, its me", don't lie, be honest but don't be harsh. Talk the whole thing through so not to leave any unresolved questions or emotions.

you such thing. but remember: the longer you wait, the more its gonna hurt. thats what en ex told me the night he dumped me. but just dont promise to be friends still and dont say that you will always care for them, believe me, thats the last thing we wanna hear: empty promises and lies. and whatever you do DONT say" i love you but im not IN love with you. another downer.
