the stars the moon and planets in the solar system set it perfect for like on earth, earth is 93 million miles away from sun a little closer we would be melting and a little further away we would be ice, alse is a subatomic particle was slightly larger or smaller the universe would collapse in 8 minutes and we have trillions of extremely complex cells that is only in our kind excluding evolution, look at the law of energy of enthropy energy cant be made or destroyed to comlex for your illogical brains

You're arguing the strong anthropic principle, which is known to be false.

Take statistics. There are a billion billion stars in our galaxy alone. There are a billion billion more galaxies out there than there are humans on the Earth. The Earth took about 4.5 billion years to get to its present and much cooler state. Not even remotely how its creation is described in the bible.

You are also thinking way too acutely. Look at the Earth in 7 billion more years when the Sun has depleted its "perfect" power source. When that happens, our own Sun will envelop the Earth thus destroying it.

Facts aside, if God is so perfect, then why is it written that he created Hell? If God is so perfect, then why would he need to kill us via a great flood or through plagues. If you have read the bible, God surely should seem to you hardly perfect!

I more or less agree with everyone here except for the shared idea among them that the universe is imperfect. The universe is perfect the way it is. And its because it is perfect that causes it to exist. If it wasn't perfect it would't exist. As for if you're wondering how it could have become. Think of everything. Not just everything in the universe but everything outside the universe. Everything before and after the universe. In an eternity of nothingness something had to happen.

wow learn to type and use proper english because I couldn't read half of what you said. The universe is not perfect, perfect does no exist. If it did everyone would have the same idea of what perfect is, and you know that noone believes that the exact same thing is perfect, there will always be slight differences.

Because you can "prove" science.. yet after 6 millenia of recorded history, there is still no proof of Allah, God, Yesew or any other "super-deity", only books WRITTEN BY MEN.

And talk about perfect.. The Christian chruch sure does seem infalliable what with all the child molestations, failed crusades, and murder (spanish inquistians, salem witch trials) directed by men who are the authoriative represenative of "god".

The Universe most certainly is not perfect. Dissension and dissatisfaction are hardly signs of a "perfect" universe. Because a pail holds water does not mean it is the perfect vessel to do so

The universe is far from perfect. If there is a god, why will our sun explode in a few thousand years, killing all of us? Wouldn't your god have found a way around that?

Have you looked at the craters on the moon?

Are you aware that the dinosaurs probably perished as the result of an asteroid impact, and that within the next 30 years, we will come into close proximity of an asteroid twice?

Do you know that stars explode?

There are billions of galaxies, each made up of billions of stars, and you're surprised that in this minuscule place you happen to exist? And people call atheists arrogant! I hate to tell you, but in the grand scheme of the universe your significance is exactly equal to that of a gnat. (As is mine.)

There are infinite numbers of imperfect galaxies being destroyed by black holes and super novas all the time. Given that the universe may be infinite in size and age, the chance of one such galaxy surviving and producing life is pretty good.

so the fact that the occassional planet is in the right position to produce life means god did it? out of all the millions of suns and planets, the laws of probability don't come into play, it is divine intervention? Talk about illogical brains, buddy, eh!

Cancer, Aids suffering, suicides, hate. that's just on earth.

If you knew anything about the universe you would know it is a extremely VIOLENT PLACE. Gamma rays which can cook us in 2 minutes. Asteroids which can wipe out our race. Black holes swallowing up everything around them including time.

Sorry it is so far from perfect.
