My boyfriend is 16 years old and we've been together almost 4 months. He says he wants to be with me for the rest of his life and if he can't, he'll die. I'm a senior and probably going off to college soon...so there's no way around it, I'm gonna HAVE to leave him :( Well today we got into a fight and while we were talking about it tonight, I asked him if he thought we should take a little break. He said "NO! We can work it out..." Then I got quiet and he started crying, saying I didn't love him, saying that God was doing this to him. I tried to reason with him but he got really emotional.
The last thing he said before he hung up was: You won't see me tomorrow.
I am SO frustrated and confused....what can I do?????

Sorry, but the boy needs psychiatric help. He is too dependent on you. He may be just trying to scare you and manipulate you, but even if he is serious, he needs immediate evaluation and help. Have you discussed this with your parents or his?
My ex-husband had bi-polar disorder. When we first married every time something a little difficult would happen or if we had an argument, he would threaten to kill himself. It use to really scare me to pieces. After a while I figured out that he was just being manipulative. When he was diagnosed he wouldn't stay on his medication and he refused to stick with counseling. I couldn't take the mood swings and meanness.
Don't go this alone. You need some other people involved. Together you can get him some help. Remember that no matter what he does, you are not responsible for his behavior. He has to be willing to admit he has a problem, seek the help he needs, and stick with the program. It may be a good idea for you to get some counseling as well. It will help you cope with all of this. God bless you very much!

Take his words very seriously. It might just be a cry for attention but it could also be a real threat. Let someone know asap!

You need to tell your parents. Next, you or your parents needs to tell his parents. Finally, you need to keep your distance from him. He is very unstable, and I feel he could do something drastic you or to both, you and him. Be safe.
