If you don't like a guy, how do turn down a date with him without hurting his feelings?

I don't think you can do it painlessly, however, it would be good to do it privately, and try not to crush him...just say "No, I'd rather not, thanks for asking"...and don't entertain any questions.

If the guy is really sensitive, you will hurt his feelings no matter what. The best thing to do is to be honest and tell him that he is a nice guy but your just not interested in dating him. It is better to be honest now then to date him and then try to get rid of him later.

Tell him that you appreciate him being so kind to have asked you but you wish to be friends. A single date will not be a terrible thing to do with a boy, believe me! Tell him your feelings plainly and clearly he will be understanding if he *is* a gentleman.

there is no really polite way of doing it.. anyway you put it, your going to break their heart.. i would just tell the guy that your not attracted to him.. if not.. just say you already like someone.. or you dont want to become involved with a guy right now
