She will not go in any litterbox that is not exclusivly hers. How can we correct this problem? Keep in mind that each cat formerly used their own litterbox just a 2 months ago. The younger cat has taken over both boxes completly. The older will not use either box now.

There should be one more litter box than the number of cats.

If you go to Petsmart store they sell Powered litter boxes. In your case I'd get two-one for each. Get rid of the others these are cleaner and their powered either batteries or electric just followed the directions and you'll probley empty once a month. once the cat leaves the box it automatically disposes of the problem and puts it in a container. When container is full put lid on and through it in the garbage can.== END OF PROBLEM.

Here's a solution, get each cat her own litter box. That way they are both content and place each litter box in different parts of the house. So, they would know it's their's and they both have privacy. I would not expect multiple cats to use the same litter.

A third litter box might help. Sorry your having this problem. I've had two females and one male and they all share the same box with no problem. You've got one that is a little fussy.

the difficulty is - you do no longer want a difficulty. If the cats are happy with the area and it would look to greater healthful your existence with constrained floor area interior the abode, then i does no longer hardship. in basic terms be particular which you're alert to the 1st actual signs and indicators of irrelevant LB habit. it may do quite a few harm rapid in case you do no longer handle it top away. be conscious that it is the male cat who's maximum in all danger to type crystals in his urine and start up going out of the container. He should be certain a vet at present if that happens.

Well my cat would always try to use the roommates box and theirs would come to our sometimes. But the older one took on a momma like role with her so she didnt mind. I have seen plenty cats share. My cat used to go on the rub beside her box and my boyfriend used to put the cat in the littler box and throw the crap at her....kinda mean but she stopped doing it.
