2 Thes. 2:3 says there will be "a falling away".

Among many who have been decieved by the doctrines of men, the church is lost from their lives. Many, instead have believed a lie instead of the truth. They need to be introduced to the church of the Bible. They need to find the church that was built by Christ.

I guess the more accurate description would be not that the church is lost, but many are lost from the church. They need to have the church restored in their lives. They need to follow the Bible, because the Bible only makes Christians only and the only Christians.

They need to leave the doctrines of men and return to the Bible as the only source of doctrine for the church.

I invite you to read the tract that is at the attached link. It is called "Come and See" and it invites you to come and see if the Church of Christ is the church you can read about in the Bible.

I believe that Jesus only meant that the central theme (salvation) would not be lost, not that the Bible would not be changed or abused by the many false prophets that have come and gone since those early times.
