There are many within the Christian community that believe it is a possibility due to what Jesus said about John the Baptist (referring to how it was insinuated, according to some interpretations, that Elijah returned as John the Baptist, and will come again as it is written in Malachi)....if you would like exact Bible verses, feel free to email me...

You must be open to the possibility of an eternity.
As far as reincarnation goes it is not taught in the bible. The answerer who quotes about one life and then .... is quoting correctly.
Also, isn't the idea of a soul returning in a form other than a human inconsistent with the concept of man being in the image of God? (No offense intended against animals but isn't it a stretch to consider them as images of God?)
So isn't anyone who believes in reincarnation on his own?

Yes, its against Christianity and Monotheism, cause all those religions fundamentally agree that you are given ONE chance in the earth then you meet in after life. (that you don't live again in this earth)
If you pay attention the fundamental theory of reincarnation is that you become better or worse from what you do in this life,so if you are good you become better or if you are worse you get a bad life next time. (So if this is the case then why should Christ tell you believe in me and you will be saved from Hell?)
I don't believe in Reincarnation or Christianity but the above is the fact (Please read the quran for some good answers for all your religious questions)

Eternity is circular, so of course. Does it really matter what someone "believes"? The truth is the truth.
