from the same mother you can considered them as whole, Same father different mother are half, and coming in through marriage is a step

IF siblings share at least ONE parent by blood they are 1/2 brothers and sisters and are blood kin.... if they do NOT share any blood tie they are step..... example--- mother marries a man with children, they would be your STEP siblings, if they have a child together it would be your 1/2 sibling.......God bless

Step siblings are the children of your parent's new spouse...they are only related to you by marriage.If you have one of the same parent,you're half siblings.
