There is NO home remedy that works, the dog must be seen by a vet.

It depends on how bad the mange is. If its just one or 2 patches, then a shampoo is avail over the counter at the vets. Or check out my questions as i got a really good recipe from the same question i asked. If its generalised demodictosis(mange all over) I am sorry to say its almost incurable as there will be an underlying health problem forcing your dogs immune system out of whack. Take your dog to the vet before it gets too bad, trust me, i have a very sick doberman with generalised demodictosis. Another good recipe for a spray is boil 1 litre of water with the peel(no pith)of 6 lemons and 2 whole cloves of garlic. Reduce the liquid to half, strain and cool. Add 1/2 a litre olive oil and 1/4 litre methylated spirits. Pour into spray bottle and shake before every use. Spray the patches every day. Bath the dog every 2 days proir to application. Use a herbal dog grooming shampoo containing tea tree oil. Good luck and i hope this works and i hope your doggy is a well doggy.

Your vet, home remedy's are not the way to go. Trust me I know.
The vet will dip them once a week or 2 weeks. Best for them cause mange can get bad if not treated right. Choosing a home remedy that isn't vet approved is not safe, it can be very dangerous to your dog. One i was told of when a family friend heard mine had mange was part bleach and water, but trust me they drink the bleach and it will eat the insides up bad.( I never did it)

Had to add this after the others i seen. Yes bleach is bad!! Mange are parasites on its skin. You know how it feels when your head just itches and wont stop for hours. Well for them its a non stop itch. They will scratch the skin off and make sores on them and get infected

Hose him down with dishwash soap and water. Let him shake it off. Rub some Listerine into the fur and skin. Let it dry. Fill a squirt bottle with half apple cider vinegar and half water. Spray the dog with the mixture 4 times a day.
