I like best "I Will Abide in Thy Dwelling Place Forever" by the Overholt Family, an a capella Amish-Mennonite family group.

It is not easy to find their tapes or CD's...maybe when they are at Hymn sing gatherings, or from the Christian Hymnary Publishers. If you never heard them, it is worth trying to find their work.

Honestly, & I know I'll get a lot of flack for this, but.... Black Sabbath. Their lyrics were often Christian in nature. The songs War Pigs & Electric Funeral paint an interesting (and Biblically accurate, from what I've seen) picture of Judgment Day.

As far as bands actually under a Christian LABEL, I am quite fond of Blenderhead. Poor Old Lu is good too. :)

EDIT: Yeah, I KNEW I would get at least one "thumbs down" for that, but to whomever gave it, look at the lyrics, in context, before you judge.

I like Disciple's "My Hell." I like more Christian rock than contemporary.

I also like Demon Hunter (uhoh reminded me of them), but I like it when I can actually understand their lyrics, because its not about the music.
