My hair typically doesn't get oily. I wash it every morning, and I pretty much scrub it. Will hairspray and gel make it oily?

No, braids will just make it crimpy and I can't french braid so I can't get the top of my head, AND I shower in the morning.
Not very useful. D:
And I've done it before with little success.

Most hairspray, especially aerosol hairspray, has a high alcohol content. Alcohol will dry your hair more than make it oily. Gel is also generally high-alcohol and produces a drying effect. While the oils on your hands can leave residue while scrunching, overall the drying effects of the alcohol in the product will not cause problems with oil.

If you use the gel and hairspray on your hair when it's dry, then yes, it will make your hair greasy, clumpy, stiff, and (possibly) oily, depending on your hair type. I have really coarse, frizzy, curly hair, and what I've found that works is using a really strong hold gel and leave in conditioner (applying it only to my hair when it is wet / towel dried and then allowing my hair to dry naturally) and then following this up with a misting of hairspray (try Pantene's strong hold formula). This should give you a good hold and also keep your hair from any of the aforementioned problems -- it's worked for me!! :D Good luck and hope this helps!!!!!

It won't become oily. Depending on how your hair reacts to certain products it may become weighted down and brittle. I would go to a local beauty store and ask the cosmotologist to help you select a product that will work for you. Try also to go to a salon so they can actually show you how to use a product and which ones would work for you.

Probably somewhat.
Obviously as you said, for you oily is not much of a problem so I imagine it will be fine. otherwise no girls would use hair spray.
Hate that,. yu can also just use braids?

If you are not prone to having oily hair it might not, but products can build up. Think about using a clarifying shampoo.

No. That's the nice thing about gels. They're not oily.
