There are many ways to do this:
1.) Do NOT cram. Study every single day of your school life. When examination comes, you dont have to study too much.
2.) Do not have expectation on yourself. An examination is a test to measure your capability and how much you have learned, not an event when you are expected or forced to achieve a certain result.
3.) Dont just work hard, work smart. You dont have to study everything. If you know the areas in which you have to focus on, this will decrease the amount of material you will have to work on.
4.) Find a quiet, ventilated place where you can work efficiently.
5.) Exercise and eat healthy. An examination period is not an excuse for body abuse.
6.) Sleep early. Avoid caffeinated drinks.
7.) Wake up early. Lethargy is one of your greatest enemy.
8.) Work hard. Play harder. Leisure is an important element of work.
9.) Focus. Focus. Focus. Anything else you wanna do, put them off to after examinations.
10.) Buy yourself a stress ball.

The absolute best way to reduce stress is to know the material. Just the fact that you can walk into the test knowing that you are as prepared as you will ever be is the best feeling! Good luck!

What type of examination? A test in school? A physical examination at a doctors office? Are you the doctor/nurse or the patient?

RELAX!!!!! Take some deep breaths. Realize the exams if a good thing. Chit chat with people the help you get your mind off it while waiting, read a magazine. Stop worrying, I cant tell you how many exams I ave had in my life. Some of them were very unpleasant, after that many it will not bother you, "it's just a thing" .

Eat healthy foods. Have a lot of fruit and veggies while you study and it will keep you balanced and less stressed out. Also, if you have time, exercising is a great way to release toxins (sweat) and lower your stress levels.

Chewing gum always helps me to relax and focus my energy. The constant motion of chewing helps to give steady rhythm to your work.
