I also have straight, flat hair. I use Sunsilk's Anti-flat shampoo, conditioner, and weightless volumizing creme. I love it. And it doesn't make my hair sticky or stiff. Apply the creme to the roots and work through the rest of your hair. Also *as others have said* blow drying your hair upside down will help add volume as well.

Get a body perm. You'll have twice a much hair. Don't try to do it at home, though. It will frizzzzzzz! I have fine, straight hair, and I can't live without a perm. There are also some spray on volumizers that help. Avoid cream rinses and conditioners like the plague.

Try a volumizing shampoo, conditioner or styling product. Like Matrix Amplify or Big Sexy Hair. Then try blowdrying your hair upside-down. When your hair is almost dry use a large round brush to place it into the style you wear.

I would get it cut at least shoulder-length, so you have less weight on your hair and so it's easier to care for, and blow-drying it upside down gives me instant volume quickly.

Blow dry it upside down, using a good mousse, like Fructis' volumizing.
