Many dogs are lactose intolerant and lactose is present in milk products. Dogs who drink milk can experience vomiting, diarrhea and painful stomach cramping. Don't count on that to keep them from drinking it the next time it's offered though. They will rarely turn it down even though it's not great for them.

When I got my dobe from a rescue he had very, very loose bowels and vomited quite often for the first 3-4 weeks. When I was looking through an older book on the breed it suggested giving a mixture of boiled milk and corn syrup and boy did it work wonders. It fixed him right up so I would say yes dogs can drink milk but if you notice that it seems to upset your dogs stomach don't give it to him any more.

Small amounts are not a problem but cow milk is really for baby cows and dogs in nature do not drink milk after they are weaned so their bodies don't have the enzymes and all and so they often get loose stools if they are given more than a small amount of milk. Remember dog's milk is much richer than cows and has more fat and less sugar.

canines and their pre-ancestors advanced as hunter/scavengers. This evolution has given the animal the means to devour, drink, and in part digest products that would want to kill the classic human. Neither cows milk or any wheat product might want to clearly type any component of a canines nutrition plan. couple of minutes period - no problem lengthy time period - seem at Y!A for questions about pores and skin/coat situations, digestive complications, joint disease, behaviour topics. Then ask your self fairly how a lot of that is right down to unfavorable nutrition plan.

I don't know where that info came from, unless they are talking about a certain breed.
I have had various breeds and mutes and every one has drank milk. If they were sick with stomach/intestine issues and/or potential poisoning I give them milk mixed with egg.
Every dog I had would not only drink milk but ate other dairy products, Ice cream, cheese-the love, yogurt etc.
Go figure.

Dogs are lactose intolerant, just like some people. No milk, ice cream, or any dairy whatsoever. A small amount of cheese is fine.

They can, just not too much or it upsets their stomachs. I give my dog(Collies are notorious for their sensitive stomachs) a bowl of milk from my cereal every weekday morning(for the past 6 years) and he's completely fine for it. Just no pouring the whole gallon in the dish and s/he'll be fine. ; )
Good names: PingPong, Raleigh, Mocca
(Think about splitting this question by the way)

I give my dogs milk but I heat it [ cold milk is not good for them].The dog food I give my dog has peas, carrots, and noodles. If is in their food, they yes you can give it to them.

They can't have Broccoli or onions, they tend to shut down their urine tract.
