In Islam, the methods for worshipping Almighty GOD is the same for men and women but the criteria may vary.
As regarding the 'Salah' - prayers, Women have the same 5 Times daily prayers, yet they can have concession.
If a man becomes 'impure'. In the islamic terminology 'impure' means the condition after having an intercourse or a wet-dream, he cant pray or touch the Quran unless he purifies himself with a 'Ghusl' which is the bath that will purify you for prayers.
So if a man becomes impure and the time for prayers has begun, it is a MUST for him to purify and attend the congregational prayers.
BUT for a woman when she is having her periods, (i.e. when she is impure), she MUST NOT take a bath, untill her periods have stopped. Moreover, she NEED NOT pray back the missed prayers, as they are forgiven for her.
Does Islam subjugate women?
'Zakah' - Tha Annual Charity is OBLIGATORY on all men who can pay it. But normally if a woman does NOT work, she is NOT liable for it.
And it is MANDATORY for a Muslim male to work and earn for his family and the wife if she does NOT want to work, is entitled to her right. NO one can force her to work.

Muslim women and men have the same obligation for praying that at least 5 times a day :subuh/early morning before sun rise/fajr,zhuhur at noon (12.00),ashar,on the evening (15.30) maghrib at the beginning of a night (18.30) and isya at night (19.35).For boys and girls before puberty they have no obligation for praying. But their parents should bring them for praying together as a learning process before their puberty.A husband should be an imam a leader in praying together at home with his wife and kids..Allah the only one God has instructed men at least once every friday noon to pray together in the mosque as an obligation. If someone 3 times in friday praying were absent without strong reason he will not be accepted his good doing during 40 days. .This obligation is not given to women and girls.
All muslim women should cover their bodies from their toes up to their hairs when they are going out and praying, because their privy are haram to be seen by non muslims and by non muhrim.

yes. the action, the prayer, the time are all the same. the differences are the clothing, the position (if praying in group, women are behind men to credit the leadership of men), and the condition (for eg: praying is compulsory for those who have reach puberty)

I just have to add (as a Muslim woman) that one of the question answerers above said a menstruating woman must not bathe until after her menses, but that means the ritual bath of complete purification, not a regular bath or shower. So A woman on her menses can and should bathe and shower regaularly but after her cycle, she must wash her hair and do the ritual cleaning, the same that a man does after sexual relations. Confusing? It is just about the same as the Jewish mikvah.
