Dont be so hard on yourself. God sees your heart. HE knows that you love HIM and he knows that you are going to fall. HE did give us free-will. As for patience, it will come. I have had to learn some hard lessons in patience just in the last 3 months of my marriage. And trust me I still get angry and upset, but in the end Christ is there to hold me up and show me the better way. Hang in there. And God Bless.

First, I like your nickname.
But let me try to encourage you a bit this time.
We are called to holiness and a pure life, as you say. However God already calls you a holy person, a saint.
Second, when God chose you before the foundation of the world, He knew ahead of time every one of your short-comings and failures. Yet he pointed at you and said: "That's the one I want."
Third, His Holy Spirit is there to help us and strengthen us, but He doesn't totally transform us all at once. He does it a little at a time, and sometimes he uses some very difficult experiences in our lives to help polish us. I'm afraid I've been a bit of a glutton. I recently spent a few days in Central America with some children that I love very much. I haven't been able to look at food the same way since then. I have some other examples, too, but they are too personal and I don't want to get tears on my key-board!!!!
I'm afraid we don't have a "how-to" book. The only thing we can do is to keep up our relationship with God, as a real live relationship and not something legalistic. Talk to Him continually about these things that happen around you. Question Him. Tell Him your frustrations, and don't beat around the bush. Be real with Him.
Make sure you have at least one Christian friend who has the same aspirations that you do. The ideal is if you can meet and share with that friend from time to time. (or better, pural: those friends).
When I say God uses difficult times for us, sometimes it can even mean things like going tghrough a depression, (some Christians think we are supposed to be depression-proof).
So it's not easy, but we are not alone. And God, who knows the beginning and the end, chose us just as we are, loves us just as we are, so we needn't be concerned on that score!
A good book to read: "What's so amazing about grace" by Phillip Yancey.

There is no pat answer to this. Yes, you still have a sinful nature, and yes, you will stumble and fail, probably on a daily basis. But if you have embraced Jesus as your savior, then you are pleasing to God. It will be the work of your entire lifetime to become more Christlike, more patient, more compassionate, more holy. Don't expect yourself to be perfect, because God doesn't expect you to be. But He is so pleased with you when you try! Remember the story of Jacob's Ladder? Well remember, just take it one rung at a time, and you will reach heaven.

This isn't easy for any Christian. It takes time and practice. As soon as you feel yourself giving into a temptation, stop and pray. Walk away from the situation and pray. The Lord will give you the strength to avoid the temptations. Remember the Lord's Prayer "and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from sin".
You are a human and will never be perfect while on earth. You can only strive for it and in that process, you will gain more graces from the Lord. It's with His grace and mercy that you can achieve a better spiritual life.

You are asking others that are like you; how?
Go along continue to believe in Jesus. Read your Bible.
Continue to pray and don't put a lot of pressure on yourself.
You can not do it. I know I tried.
Be careful of the works program, it will drive you crazy.
As far as I am concerned. Jesus saved me as I am. If he did that then who am I not to be pleased with me, He was.
The trying to be perfect will leave you a very displeased unhappy person. If He wants a change, He being God can do it.
I feel that He is responsible for me.
The shepherd always looks after the sheep, not the other way around.
Hope this helped.

Being a Christian is a daily walk. The way to be more Christ- like is written in His Word. Read and study the bible. Take all of your questions to the Lord in prayer.

True holiness comes from the Presence of the Lord in a person. You want to be holier and more "like" Christ? Then entertain the Presence of the Almighty - for where HE is, is holy. If you die to self every day (like Paul said) and let Christ live fully in you - then you will find a new level of patience, love, godliness and sanctification (purity). When we build an atmosphere of communion in worship, praise, thanksgiving and delve into the depths of God's Word allowing our Faith to grab hold of it's truths - we will find a rising level of God's Presence in us. HE makes us holy.

Read the Scriptures for your self, then listen to God's appointed ministers - and ask Him to show you who they are.
"And He gave some apostles, some prophets, some as evangelists and some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the task of ministering toward the building up of the Body of Christ, until we all arrive at the unity of the faith, and that understanding of the Son of God that brings completeness of personality, tending towards the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. As a result we should no longer be babes, swung back and forth and carried here and there with every wind of teaching that springs from human craftiness and ingenuity for devising error; but telling the truth in love, we should grow up in every way toward Him who is the Head - Christ."
Ephesians 4:11-15)

Good question. Daily devotionals, pray without ceasing, and realizing that it really isn't about you in the first place is a good place to start.
No one is perfect, but we can try to be as close to it as we can get.
I just get confused on the whole don't help until you get the splinter out of your own eye scenario, because while I do devotionals and pray throughout the day, I still think of myself, even though I realize it is wrong and I could pray more. But I guess that is a different question. Sorry to babble. I'll pray for you.

God has a wonderful plan for your life. Pray for God's direction in your life. Share with him the desires of your heart.
We all have sins and faults. We wouldn't be human if we didn't have those. THe wonderful thing is, that because Christ paid the price for our faults we can come to him and ask for forgiveness.
Be patient and let God speak to you. He will not guide you in the wrong direction. God Bless.

That just comes with growing in faith. Everyday we try our best to move forward, but we are in corrupted bodies and because of this we veer off the path of righteousness often. We fail because we are being perfected; we are not perfect.
Check out Romans 7...even Paul struggled daily. The point is our faith is in Jesus Christ our Lord; we are forgiven.
Just take each second as it comes, keep in the word, keep praying for guidance...you will never become perfect at least not until you shed this corrupted flesh body, but you will strengthen everyday in faith and understanding.
