have to take time out from school and other activities to do their required prayers throught their day? Or do they pray at different times of the day after they get out of school? I am asking because Muslims are to pray 5 times during the day and living in the Middle East I can see how they impliment their prayer life with other activities on their day. But if they are living in America and attending an American pubic school, how do they do their prayers?

Thanks for explaining this to me.

fajr (1st prayer): 5:14
Dhur (2nd):12:05
Asr (3rd): 3:19
Maghrib (4th): 5:47
Isha (5th) 6:56

those are the times where i live though they are different everywhere according to geography.

i get out of school at 2:30 so i have time to make all prayers at home.
that's just me, my school, my prayer times but for other people it may be different.

but boys or girls at the age of puberty do have an obligation to pray..whether they do it or not is between God and the person. As long as you do the prayer you are praying before the next prayer it counts. But is recommended to do it as soon as possible and not to delay it because then you might forget.

hope that helped

I knew several moslem military officers when I was working in the military base. They do pray during lunch and once before they go home at 5pm (I think the 2nd and 3rd prayer in a day) and the military tolerate that. So I assume you can be in the US and still follow the religion.

My husband is managing an engine plant here in America and he told me that the company provides a room for moslem to pray. When they pray it's not deducted from their 30min lunch break.

Students can pray in their lunch break if a room is provided to them. I pray at my work in my lunch break, i do this by combining the two afternoon prayers, works out well for me.

Schools are required to make reasonable allowances for students' spiritual practices. All schools with a sizable Muslim population allocate a regular place for those daily prayers that fall within school hours and insure that washing facilities are available for the worshipers' ablutions.

notice not all muslim pray, but for those who pray... they can do it during lunch time in their car, or setting somewhere in school. there is one before Sun raise (around 6am) and the 2nd one comes around 1pm, third prayer is at around 4pm...... so you have from 1pm to 3:59 pm to pray.
