I'm 31, and getting married for the 2nd time, in April. I am wearing a "Cafe" colored dress (kind of a khaki & gold mix) It's strapless, & it has a "v" neck in front, and a draping, "scoop" neck down the back. ( The back is kind-of low, maybe to mid-back). At the bottom of the dress, it is long enough in the back to drag the ground just a little, and the front falls to my ankles. It's "flowy", pretty, yet simple. Would ordinarily be used as a bridemaids dress possibly. We are getting married on a lake, and I thought this would "flow" nice in the breeze. I just preferred to not wear a traditional gown, I associate that with every little girl's dream of the big, fairytale wedding, I've done that, and obviously, the marriage failed. I wanted this to be completely different. (Much more intimate) However I have been to many 2nd weddings where the bride has chosen that route, and it went over fine. I would stay away from white, though.

OMG! Your gown sets the tone for the wedding. So What kind of wedding do you want? Thats the best part of 2nd go round and being over 30!!!! All the family pressure and tradition is off and the sky is the limit (well except of course for the cost! lol). Have a wonderful day!!!! I h ave been to 2nd weddings with very elaborate dresses, one that was held outdoors at a campground on a lake with a beautiful sunset in the background, followed by an indoor lodge dinner and big old bonfire.... let your wedding reflect the personality of the two of you and your new family...if you are bringing kids into it.... celebrate that! Whatever you do HAVE FUN!!! and Congrats!!!!

you can really wear anything you'd like, maybe a tea length dress in any color other than white. Dillards or Macy's will have a nice selection.

Are you wanting white or color? Long or short?
You can get away with more than if you were 50.
Still, nothing too short, no boobs out.

Or even this mother-of-the-bride dress. One of my favorites.
