Hi, i am 78 lbs and i'm an 11 year old girl. I am about 4' 11'' or maybe 5' 00''. My size,somewhere between an 8 and a 12.I'm not overweight but i think i eat unhealthily.on sunday for dinner we were watching the oscars and i had chicken, salad, 4 cookies and 2 very small slices of cake. i dont normally eat like this but when i'm excited i eat a lot. Today 4 breakfast- cereal, lunch- toquitos, a plum, dinner- salad, rice and a bit a steak. i also just had "peeps." If i am overweight, how much so? Also, what are good ways to exersise? in school we have 15 minutes to exercise and 3 times a week we have PE. After school i play soccer against the wall for about 20-30 minutes. (not everyday, it depends how much homework i have so it varies but normally everyday when i get home, but recently its dropped down a bit so now its about 5 times a week) Please dont tell me i'm too young to be thinking about this i know but i'll stop thinking about it if someone tells me! I am almost 14, 5'1" and 103 lbs. Therefore, you are 11 years old, 5'0" and 78, you are really underweight for your height, and a little underweight for your age. I don't think that you are too young to be thinking about your weight and body image, I was at that age as well. Just don't become one of those people who are obsessed with their weight and develops an eating disorder. It is healthy to want to watch your weight and look good because if you don't you tend to get overweight. But if anything I'd say that you need to gain weight or just stay the same. Maybe you are just small boned and are naturally small because of that. I have a friend who is like that.

First, I am not going to tell you if you are too fat, skinny or just right. If you are concerned go ask a doctor, or, if you are too embarrassed to talk (with your parents?), there are plenty of ask-a-doctor sites on the web. Some should have a BMI (body mass index) chart as well where you can compare your height-to-weight ratio to see if you are ok. You are exercising at a good rate and I doubt that you could put on weight with all that exercise you are doing. Your diet is good too. (ps diet - the word actually means what you eat, not how to lose weight.)

Second, you are only 11 years old, of course you are going to eat more as you are growing and have yet to reach the teenage years. You should not be worrying your head over your weight. There is too much pressure nowadays for young girls, your age and under, to be thin. Be beautiful and confident in yourself, not what you look like. Have and enjoy your childhood, because you are still a child. Don't monitor what or how much you eat until you are over 14 years old.

okay I'm 13 and weigh 97 pounds and I'm 5'1 when i was your age i was about that weight maybe a little less but your not over weight and your big apatite is normal around your age your growing so your body needs food. i was going on a eating a lot craze to lol but just cut down a little and drink milk (i bet you hear that a lot but its true) and try having apples or something instead of that cake. so don't worry your fine but don't listen to people who try to put you down with how you weigh just listen to what you think and you will be fine

no you aren't overweight. you actually are like perfectly weighted for your age and so you eat a little more on some days, who cares? your perfectly fine. you would have to be 120 pounds to be overweight for your age. no stress gurl!!!
