I arms were 14" before i went on this low carb diet. Now after 2 weeks..they're 13.5". That seems like quite a bit just after 2 weeks

i weigh 140..still taking around 170g of protein

my goal right now is to lose body fat..i'm only doing it for 2 more weeks. I won't lose that much muscle will i? if i keep protein and fat up

Sky, this is what's known as "cutting-up." When you reduce your carb consumption dramatically, water is drawn out of the muscle and you begin to flatten out. It's like you are letting the air out of a tire.

That said, while your arm's diameter has gone down, you probably are noticing that you're getting a more ripped, defined look. Part of this may be from some subcutaneous fat loss, but it's also a result of the water loss.

I wouldn't worry too much. As soon as you go off the low-carb diet you'll notice increases in muscle volume and size, and will return to something resembling your former self (sans some of the extra body fat.) Provided your calories aren't radically restricted, you probably aren't losing much muscle.

One pointer. If you are going to go on a carb-restricted diet, make sure that you aren't taking the Atkins approach by loading up on animal and saturated fats. You need fats on these types of diets, but focus on substituting "good" fats like avocados, olive oils and nuts for bacon, butter and heavy cream.
