"Knowledge is the heritage of mankind, but only the courageous inherit it."

Since only people can be courageous, find an example of a famous person throughout history that was courageous and sought knowledge.

In example, Galileo Galilei.

"In 1610, Galileo published The Starry Messenger, detailing his observational findings and his controversial conclusions supporting the Copernican theory, and challenging both scientific orthodoxy and the religious dogma of the day. In 1717, his ideas were judged heretical, both his works and those of Copernicus were banned by the Church, and Galileo was instructed to abandon his astronomical pursuits, This he refused to do, and instead continued to amass data in support of the heliocentric view."

Church = The Catholic Church.

Using this example, because of Galileo's courage, he pursued getting data about our Sun, and the planets in our Solar System, and etc. Just because his findings weren't parallel to the teachings of the Catholic Church, he didn't stop because he was determined about getting knowledge. Imagine you were him back in the day and the Catholic Church banned you from such pursuits and said the data you retrieved was false. Galileo had courage and stood up and continued to pursue knowledge.

knowledge is property... it is acquired through some personal effort.

But it takes wisdom to know what to do with it. If you are foolish, you can loose everything.

in some ways, courage is the correct application of knowledge and the wisdom to fight to keep it.

you can learn how to shoot a gun. But if an enemy attacks you, and you are afraid and run, your knowledge does you no good. You might die.

However, if you use your knowledge correctly, and you are courageous enough to use the gun when you are threatened, then you can defend yourself and save your own life.

Hence, the wise and courageous will outlive the cowardly and foolish.
