the brand really matters in hair straighteners. i used to use the ones that are located at walmart or in beauty stores and regret it so. those really dry and damage your hair. If you use the spray on heat tamer, then it would slow down the process of your hair becoming damage. The only way to use a hair straightener is to shampoo and conditioner, then buy a straightener call corilloisis or something like that. I have use this one and see alot of improvement since then. My hair is silky smooth, shiny, and stays healthy. It can be pricey though. it cost around 100$ to 150$. But it would really worth it when you see the difference between metals and ceramics straighteners. BTW most of the straighteners located at a local store are FAKE ceramics. they just put "with ceramics" in there so you would buy it. Trust me, i`ve been there.

hi. i wouldnt call it frying your hair but it does damage it. my advise would be if you are planning to straighten it is to buy a product i like to use 'the ends, cuticle sealer' its made by hairwear australia you can usually find it at your hairdresses. i streghten my hair everyday and i use this product and my hair isnt damage because of the product.

Well, think about-you are subjecting the shaft to intense heat-in essence you are burning the hair. Definitely damaging.

Yes, if you must use a straightener use a conditioning straightening creme. Aussie makes a good one...
