lives 5 states over, no digital to prove it...will be seeing him in a few weeks, how do i bring it up? as to show me the ring? without seeming desperate or needy? thanks!

When you get there, if he doesn't give you the ring right away ask to see it. If he says no he's got something romantic planned tell him stiff **** he's already ruined the surprise by telling you he bought the ring. Either he proposes to you right then and there or he can stop messing with your head and you'll go get yourself a decent guy.
P.S. if you put him on the spot like this and he proposes and you then say no or ask for some time to think about it, then he would be a fool not to immediately retract the offer.

2. pray. not asking u to pray for getting the ring but for having the best thing for u (even if he is not serious wit u - by giving the ring)

Don't bring it up. Just wait and let it happen.
If, after you see him in a few weeks, he doesn't do it, then you should ask him about it.
