Only with a lawyer will you get them. You could try without a lawyer, but they say only a fool will be his or her own lawyer in court. This case is important so I would be glad to pay one to get them if it was me.

the first thing you need to do is to ensure that the problems which resulted in your children being taken away have been resolved and that you can supply your children with a happy and stable home. Then go and see the courts and ask them the steps you need to take to regain custody of your children. If i were you though i would reconsider the lawyer even if it is legal aid as you will need someone there on your side and someone who understands all the legal mumbo jumbo. Good luck with regaining custody of your children.

This is a legal matter, therefore, you will need legal help. Why do you not want to use a lawyer? If you want your kids back bad enough you will come up with what you need to hire a lawyer.

If it was temporary why? How long did you lose custody, did you also lose parental rights. If not and you have completed what you were to have done, then go back to the judge who gave the TC and request a hearing to have the judgment overturned. You will have to prove your case.
