I was cleaning out my kitchen cupboards (something I should do more often) and I found a keebler graham cracker crust that had an expiration date of Oct 2005. It looks ok..and tastes ok...is it ok to eat?

Thanks so much!

regards,
mari

If they taste okay, eat them. I have had some graham crackers that were stale before. I think that is the only way they go off. I did not get sick, thank heavens.

Like most products graham crackers will gather moisture (no crunch - or soggy) and lose flavor. It probably won't hurt you but it won't taste that good either.

However, like most companies these days, Keebler probably has either an 800 number or a website so you can check that out, like I do with most of my stuff.

Good luck

Yes I think they would be fine to eat. Most expiration dates are just a suggested use by date. If it looks fine and tastes fine then go for it!

Don't feel bad about the cupboard cleaning thing. I cleaned mine out just the other day and found tomato soup from 2004. (Yes I threw that can out) That's just a little too expired for me lol.

If they taste alright they should be fine....but if graham crackers become a little soft you can toast them in the oven for a few minutes and they come out fresh and crunchy!

graham crackers as well as crackers, cereal, and chips can be brought back to life by rebaking them. just bake for a few minutes cool and just like new
