I took my dog for his second set of shots at 7 weeks because I had to go out of town on which was a Wednesday. When we got home, he wasn't acting normal,so I took him back to the vet. While waiting, I let a little boy play with him. I soon found out that this little boy's dog had parvo. The doctor said that he would give him an imune stimulator just in case, but that the chances of him getting it were slim to none. I left there in a panic and took him to another vet, who said the same thing. I then left and went out of town thinking that he was okay to go outside because he had gotten two sets of shots. The girl that I let keep him let him go outside in the grass the very next day. I picked him up on Sunday and he seemed to be fine. That monday I took him out with me and on the way back I noticed that he was gagging and that he had thrown up a little. Well I took him home and left him for about an hour and he had thrown a tiny, tiny bit. He hasn't thrown up since. Could he have parvo?

Have him tested, Parvo is nothing to wait around for. i lost a very good puppy to and and nearly lost 2 others to it. Parvo is in the dirt so it can be tracked into the house as well. Take him to the vet in the morning to have him tested. Do it before it gets worse.
I had to pay $180 because mine needed to be kept for a week after just 2 days of acting weird and throwing up. Better for treatment than to have them kept there.
The med's i was given was liqued and I had to give my dog shots for throwing up. All he could eat was chicken broth and water since he couldnt hold down solids.
If he does has it it will be hard for the first few days because of the affect it has on the puppy. My mothers puppies have all gotten it and even mine. It's in the dirt and every new dog you get besure to have shots for parvo given. It could take years for it to die out in your yard. Good news after they get over parvo they wont get it again. Like chick pox for humans

Like the vet said the chances are slim to none. He probably had an upset stomach from something he might have ingested while your friend kept him. If you think it would help ease your mind, take him to a vet to have the test done. I am sure he is fine. By the way, usually when a dog has parvo, he/she will not eat but will drink a lot of water which makes his vomit very watery. Good Luck

I'm not too familiar with Parvo but the vomiting is not much to be concerned about(unless it's bloody or he is vomiting a lot). Vomiting is a dog's natural reaction to a change or upset. He might have just eaten something out in the yard or might have taken some food down the wrong way. If this continues for a while, take him to the vet.

Yes, your dog could have parvo. He may be a little less likely to have contracted it because of the vaccinations he was given, but it's far from impossible. To get your puppy's immune system to it's strongest, you need several series of vaccinations. I've seen puppies with 2-3 sets of vaccinations contract parvo. The odds are especially bad for puppies that were breeder or owner vaccinated.
Continue to keep a close eye on your puppy and get him in to the vet's quickly if he stops eating, stops playing, gets diarrhea or continues to vomit. Puppies in the early stages of parvo may only have one of these symptoms. Don't wait until your puppy has them all or he might become very difficult to treat. Hopefully, the puppy was just a little car sick and he'll be fine.
What "immune stimulator" did the vet give your puppy?

if your dog had parvo he wouldnt be outside or doing anything for the matter of fact, hed be laying there not drinking or eating anything, puking is only one of the symptoms that parvo has, but if hes active, and up and running around but only puked that once, he might have eaten some grass and was puking it back up..wait a couple days and if he digresses then take him back to the vet meaning wont eat or drink or wont get up but if not it might not be sick its good to be concerned but it sounds like you might be overreacting a bit calm down just keep an eye on him.

Parvo causes *lots* of foul-smelling vomit and diarrhea. If your dog had his second set of vaccines at 7 weeks, then he was vaccinated for parvo. And since it was his second set of vaccines, that means he had been previously vaccinated for parvo as well.
If that is the case, then it is not likely that he has the disease. If he continues vomiting, or if you are concerned, you can bring him to the vet to have him tested.

Since you seem to leave him with other people all the time, he could get anything. Look up on the Internet at your ASPCA and type in Parvo, you will get a report on what to look for in your dog.
Here in Arizona, pets have to receive a special shot before boarding or before being close to other animals.

Chances are...no. Especially since two vets told you the same thing.
If you are that concerned about the pup's health, then make an appointment with your vet and have him tested. I hate to say it but sometimes animals throw up. Especially if they eat grass. Or photographs. Or chew on 2x4's. Or get into the garbage...but I digress.
