And if you do, why? Why not just believe what you want to believe and not feel the need to associate yourself with a specific group of persons?
If you don't, do you get most of your beliefs from certain Organized Religions, and which one(s)?

When I say Organized Religion, I mean like Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Wiccan, Taoism, Buddhism, Asatru, et cetera. That doesn't necessarily mean a specific denomination.
Oh, and I never said it was bad, I'm just wondering what people follow.

Cherry?: I have researched many, many religions. I'm not asking this to help myself out. I'm just asking because I want to know. And you had a very good answer, by the way; you just misunderstood my intentions in asking the question.

I fallow Buddhism yet that doesn't mean that i believe in all of it, an example, in Buddhism the women always follow their husband in his practices and seem to not really be aloud to have individuality. they must serve her and her husband's families. yet I still say that I am Buddhist because I feel it sets good guidelines for my faith.and in truth that's what organized religion is, just guide lines to steer us in the right direction.

have you seen?
not all organized religions are bad.
There is one, where they take the time to show people the Bible, and the reasons for their beliefs, if you agree? great, if not? they move on.
But the choice of compliance is always left up to the person.
If you have investigated ALL organized religions, and determined that they aren't for you great. But, if your opinion of organized religion is based on limited exposure, then, maybe it would be a good idea to stretch your knowledge base and check out some more.
I have researched many religions, and to my satisfaction, found one that teaches purely from scripture, and teaches those who want to comply with the Bible, the practical means of doing so.
I hope all goes well with you.
I would say which one I think is the truest, but I think that advising you to take your time and investigate as many options as possible will be the most beneficial pursuit for your part. Why? Because learning about the many religions, will help you to become more empathetic towards those of different faiths, and as such will become better equipped to set a good example as a person to those ones.
A very helpful, non-biased book is called "Religions in America" by Leo Rosten. In it you will find a side by side comparison and explanation of various religions, as explained by representatives of the corresponding faiths.
Contained are, doctrines and traditions, and for some religions, the expaination as to why they have the parcticular doctrines and practices. Some, as you will find, base their religion more on the Bible, and some base their religion more on tradition.\
It is good reading for someone who has a question such as yours.

No. I accept concepts born from organised religion, but I ignore or modify things I don't agree with. I don't attend religious gatherings because anything that comes from human lips cannot be entirely trusted. I don't need the support or belief of others to validate the way I feel, and I most certainly don't want to donate money that goes to help who knows who. Organised religion has a bad track record for spending money.

there's a non secular route that no longer in effortless words recognized the equality of girls human beings yet deifies the gender both with adult men. And what would that be? Wicca. i do not submit with the monotheist patriarchal BS. women actually everyone looks needed. they're mandatory. they're, without question, equivalent. for this reason, i'm Wiccan and extremely pleased to be such.

If I believed whatever I wanted to believe, I would be black and blue from patting myself on the back all the time. And the best organized religion is the 'Word of God' cover to cover.

In Buddhism, monks and lamas have been studying the mind for 2500 years (not to mention the wisdom of Buddha himself).
I was raised on TV and American pop culture.
I have no problem thinking they might know something I don't.

I follow Jesus Christ, who, by the way, was not the founder of any "organized religion."
Religion is man's attempt to reach God; Christianity is God reaching down to man. It's not a religion--it's a relationship with the person of Jesus Christ.
