As for the spraying, he should have been neutered. Is he a pure breed cat (such as a Himalayan, Siamese, etc) that you're planning on breeding? If not, then why isn't he neutered??? I've never heard of a neutered male cat spraying.

As for the coughs, it may be hairballs. lol

I owned two male cats and had both Neutered and neither ever sprayed. That's why I had them fixed.

Never heard of a male cat spraying after neutered, are you sure they did it right. Better have him checked again.
As for coughing animals get allergies too not just people.

Just because you get your pet neutered doesn't meen they won't spay... the coughing could be allergies. Or he could be ready to cough up a fur ball.... My cat coughs alot before he gets it out... I don't know if that is how they keep it rolled so tight by coughing until it is big enough to come out or what...

my cat does that to its nature taking over and making him think hes not fixed and when it gets cold or hot and weather changes from hot to cold or inbetween weather that cant ajust to the weather like humans can so the get colds just like we do so no worrie i have a kitten to that does that same thing hope this helps and god bless
