Because I adopted a dog and a cat, I will not adopt a homeless person.

But no, you do make a good point. I think we tend to blame the homeless person for the situation they're in. We see animals as helpless so we will do more to help them.

if you look into this.. it isnt because people dont try to help the homless... take me for an example.. I refuse to help the homeless any longer..
I wasted 5 years of my life trying to help them... I worked at the "soup kitchens" spent my own money to buy things to help some of them out.. it was all a waste of time... the MAJORITY of homeless people are there because they want to be... YES it is true.. go help out... and see what I mean.. they are drunk on drugs or just dont care... ( it is also true) that some need mental help.. but. the MAJORITY just want the next high... alot of homeless groups really dont try any more as well. alot of them just feed them and that is the end of the help.. because they have seen the same thing.. it isnt a homelessness problem it is mostly an addiction problem.. take the drugs and booz away and you would fix alot of the problems... yes I know ever time i say it .. i feel heartless... but hey.. I did give 5 years before I said screw it...
me and a few friends got together and rented a motel room for this guy so he could get cleaned up...a good shower and a few good nights sleep... bought him clothes and fed him for about a month.. we took him to job interviews all the time he kept asking for a few bucks to get his meds.. we gave him money and he bought drugs with it... we asked the people he interviewed with why they didnt hirer him.... they all said the same thing.. he just wanted to know if he could get paid up front in cash and have his vacation now......we did this with more than 1 person none of them really wanted to get off the street....at least with animals they want to be with people and loved ...

Do you realize how many abandoned pets are put to sleep annually because they are unwanted and not enough shelters to house them?

Because the more I got involve with people the more I love and prefer animals.
Animals are kind, loving and loyal.
Humans are cruel even among themselves. They gossip and always ungrateful. Don't even say "Thank you."
