If your asking if carrot and water is what you should only do, then NO. Your body burns fat depending on your metabolism. Your metabolism increases the more often you eat,but in portion sizes. Instead of living off carrots and water, eat 5-6 times per day if you can, 4 at least! Make sure you include protein (chicken, steak, fish, eggs, etc), include protein shakes if you don't eat meat or whatever. You need a good combo of protein, carbs and fat to make up your diet. Stay away from trans fats and saturated fats. Stay away from sugars except for natural sugars in fruits. Drink water all day long. But definitely don't just live off of those. You will probably lose weight at first, but it won't last because your body will think it is starving and it will hold on to the fat you are trying to lose. Bodyforlife.com is a great site to learn about portion sizes and why you should eat 4-6 times per day!

Is a great way to make yourself sick.

You need to stop looking for "fast" and "easy" and "fad" and start looking at real nutrition, eating real foods, in the proper amounts.

As for having no time for sports, it's not necessarily about sports. It's about increasing your level of activity. It's about taking the stairs instead of the elevator and parking at the far end of the lot. Many people work and have private lives and raise children, etc, and still work out on a regular basis. That's about setting your priorities and arranging your life accordingly.

Times your present body weight by 10, that's how many calories you need each day to stay the same weight. IE: 200lbs. times 10 calories = 2000 calories per day. If you want to lose weight you minus 500 calories per day, eating 1500 calories per day. This will give you a loss of a pound per week. The best diet in the world though can be summed up in four words.
PUT YOUR FORK DOWN.

It isn't healthy to just eat carrots, and cut all other foods out of your diet. Your body also needs iron, calcium and fiber. You cant get all of that by just eating carrots. Eat lots of vegetables, all different colors. Eat some meat, but healthy low fat meat like chicken and turkey. Drink skim milk. Moderation is key. Extreme diets like carrots and water dont help.

I'm going to give you a hint: dieting doesn't work. The carrot and water diet is joke. You're going to lose water weight and muscle if you aren't careful--you want to lose FAT.

Also remember that weightloss is a LIFESTYLE change. You can just cut out all of your calories and think that will make you lose weight.

Eat in moderation.

Know why you overeat.

Drink water.

Exercise.

sounds like a fad diet to me...and not very healthy. the only safe, healthy way to lose weight is changing your diet, and getting some exercise. I just lost 75 lbs on Weight Watchers. My doctor told me this was the healthiest diet to do...and I've heard most doctors agree. not everyone loses at the same rate, but it is healthy. it's lowering fat, and controlling your portions. my cholesterol and blood pressure dropped significantly after only the first 25-30lbs. Losing weight quickly is usually not very healthy....especially when doing one of those "fad" diet or using pills.

Increase your lean protein intake (lean meats, nuts, etc.) and decrease carb and fat intake. Drink tons of water and take a daily multivitamin. And try to squeeze in extra exercise whenever you can (like taking the stairs instead of the elevator). Good luck!

carrota and water? so you are just thinking about dieting?
this will set you up for failure, try just starting slow by eating a little less of what you usually eat. this is a diet you can keep the rest of your life. no one can keep up straight healthy vegetables and such. Add in 20 min a day of exercise, actually make it part of your schedule.
