i think you should print out the picture and show it to him. look for a lot of pictures and show him how the back and front is suppossed to look, that way he doesn't mess up on it and make you look preppy or something lol.

tell him to comb it all forward and point cut on the sides and front. Then put a bunch of choppy layers at the bottom and in the back

depends on which cut you're talking about. you might be talking about the fauxhawk? it's not an actual mowhawk, but resembles it
