He obviously meant he was an uneducated moron, whoever he was.
I don't believe in anything. I accept facts which provide empirical evidence.

Very good saying and very true. What it means is that non-believers will believe anything that goes against God. They spend hours and hours thinking of ways to prove that God does not exist. And so, no matter how crazy something may sound they accept it as long as God is left out.
Those that believe in God see everything in that way, that is, they expect things to be a certain way because God created everything. God gives all things a meaning, a reason to be.
You see it on here all the time. Non-believers are constantly trying to come up with questions that are against God and religion in general. And so anything that is said against God and religion they believe no matter how far fetched it may be.

I don't know who said it, but obviously it was someone who assumed that everyone else would know exactly what he/she meant by the term "God".
In fact, most people who use that term make that same presumption. Yet, in my experience, asking them to define exactly what they mean by "God" so you can have an intelligent conversation on the subject is an exercise in futility. They just assume that, well...OF COURSE you know what they mean by “God”...and by God it had bloody well better mean exactly whatever it is they mean or there’ll be hell to pay.
Nevertheless, the fact remains that until you know exactly what someone means then when they say "God" , all further discussion is amounts to little more than intellectual masturbation.

I see it as exactly the reverse.
Those who believe in a God will believe in anything!
If a person can believe there is an invisible man that has nothing better to do then to get pissed off over human issues and human sex then why can't they believe in any load of crap that is given a good enough sales pitch!

It's a derivative of the older quote, "Those who stand for nothing will fall for anything."
Forget who said it though, one of the founding fathers I believe.
Funny thing is, I don't know any atheists who stand for nothing. All the atheists I know are pretty moral people who stand for being decent, sincere, honest human beings.
