At first yes until it gets to temp then it will smooth out

I would add the lemon juice into the oil or butter then the rest of the ingredients.

You will have to serve it almost immediately after adding it to prevent it from curdling.

sometimes. Vanilla will too. Anything acidic. Add it last and as late as you can in the recipe.

Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then add it.
