Recently I sent this guy at my job a box of chocolates and a note that said from a secret admirer. For about a week after he seemed really grouchy to me and other co worker girls. But now he's acting normal. Why do you think he acted this way. Was it because he was afraid one of us was going to ask him out. But now that it's blown over he's just happy about it and realizes it isn't going any further. I purposely acted especially different. I mean I noticed when he first got the package. He kept looking in my direction to see if I was looking at him. And of course I purposely didn't. I I've tried to act very normal and not nervous around him. So I really don't think he thinks it's me at all. But I guess he must of thought I liked him because I swear he kept looking at me when he first got the package.

When I received the last gift from a secret admirer it creeped me out. I had no idea who it was, why they were interested in me, and if they were spying on me or not (they seemed to know just about everything there was to know about me at the time).

Maybe he acted grumpy because he already has a SO or maybe he thought someone was playing a joke on him to embarrass him in front of everyone at the office.

Happy! At the very least it is flattering. Who knows he might have thought it was from someone else that just is not taking no for an answer.

If he did think it was you and was grouchy then, well, he's a grouch. Don't let it bother you. If you are still interested drop hints, ask him to lunch or for drinks after works as a friend and see where it goes from there.

Best of Luck!

Hi Joane,
From what you described, it sounds to me like the guy was just a
little irritated by the gift at first. My gut feeling is maybe he already
has a girlfriend or wife, and getting a gift like this could cause all
kinds of personal problems for him on the homefront. But, if he
isn't somehow attached, perhaps he's never received a gift from
a secret admirer before. I hope it all works out for you.

I would feel happy. Just to think that someone has the courtesy to send me a box of *anything* would start me thinking of what I could do in return for the courteous gesture.
Six weeks does seem like quite a long time to allow your generousity to "simmer" as an annomynous-gifter. I will bet that he is so overwhelmed and "one-upped" that he is contriving ways to "outgift" you.
My suggestion is to "strike while the iron is hot" to make the longer- (or better) lasting impression.
GOOD LUCK!

Well if it wasn't from you, he wouldn't want to make you jealous would he? I would be grouchy, thinking it came from that fat girl I was just being nice too and didn't find attractive at all, not wanting to give the wrong impression.
