I never knew Sikhs were a race. I thought it was a religion.
I don't think anyone should marry out of their race. Everyone claims to be so high on diversity now days but if everyone practiced miscegenation there would be nothing but a muddy non descript group of people with no unique cultures or hues. We feel like we have to protect endangered species and love unique breeds of animals but don't want to recognize our own uniqueness as humans. It doesn't make sense to promote diversity and miscegenation at the same time because they are counter-intuitive to one another. I happen to like the uniqueness of myself and my people and others as well. What would it be like to go to Japan only to find no Japanese but the same muddy people in your own back yard? It would be absurd, and the same goes for elsewhere.

if you're from a traditional home, i'm afraid it will be "bad." if not, i think you can do as you wish--live your life how you want to because you only have one life... just make sure your reasons are not selfish :)
