Here is what Muslims say.

The price for apostasy is death. That is what Mohammad said.

It's a bit dicey!?

Technically speaking, the Qua'ran does not saction the Death Sentence for irtidad; but the Shari'a has declared it Treason and hence it's punishable by Death!?

So, if you leave Islam, please don't do that publicly and certainly not in an Islamic Country where you'll be promptly beheaded!?

All the best!

Cheers!

Sure they can. But they have to be prepared for the consequences, depending on where they live. Even so, there is no guarantee of their personal safety. In places like Malaysia, you can leave the faith, but then it's illegal. So you have to keep hush hush. The radicals (read true Muslims) are waiting to pounce!

It says in the Quran that they should not be harmed......because they might turn back to islam and no one has anyway of knowing. But many countries harshly judge people who leave islam. It is better not to make it public if it is a muslim country. even if the government does not say anything there are many extremists

If they so choose, they may. The Quran and hadiths say that if one leaves Islam, then comes back, then leaves, then comes back, and then leaves, it is a matter between them and Allah and nobody is to mess with them.

How can they go back and keep leaving if they're dead?

Is this about that stereotype you've heard? Islam doesn't allow apostates to be put to death. Extremists do that. The bible does, however, say that even if it's your own mother or child, kill them for leaving.

I can not answer this question truthfully.
If I do, I will be reported by the Muslims.
It appears that they don't like the truth.
It appears the truth offends them.

Well Islam do not force anyone to embrace or leave the religion.
If a Muslim chose to quit Islam, remember, think carefully because once you quit Islam there is no turning back..period!! and these people are condemned to HELL to be the fuel for the fire.
Massha'allah...!

depends where you live. if you live in the middle east, it will be difficult and you will be breaking societal norms. people have been jailed and stoned to death for this there. but if you are an american, knock yourself out.
