Generally speaking how old should a kid be who is entering 7th grade from 6th grade? And how tall should they be? I just want to know because one of my neighbors will be ending her elementary school years after this year has ended and she seems way too short to me to be entering junior high school. Thanks, guys

About 12 years old and 5' - 5'6".

My 12 year old 6th grader will be 13 entering 7th grade. She's a bit over 5 feet. She's also a year behind where she should be because she had no interest in reading at the end of 2nd grade and she wound up repeating the year.

I can't really say much about the height, since it varies so much. I was 5'7 and 12 years old when I began 7th grade. My daughter is in 7th grade, and was 12 going in, turning 13 on Friday and she is 5'5". But one of her friends is 5'1, and another friend is 4'9, and yet another one of her friends is 5'9. It just depends on genetics. 12 years old however, is the typical age unless they were advanced or held back.

Generally between 11-13 depending on when they started. Only fairs have height limitations. Those who start off small, generally hit a growth spurt. The older you get, they younger they look. But ultimately where your brain is at determines if you qualify for an academic level.

I was 12 I think in the 7th grade and I was about 5'2 maybe she is just small for her age

Height doesn't have anything to do with age. There are some adults that are less than 5' tall.

I WAS 12 ENTERING AND SO WERE MOST OF MY FRIENDS. IT DEPENDS ON WHEN YOU BDAY IS. 1 OF MY FRIENDS CAME IN 6TH GRADE 12 I THINK.

your twelve when you enter 7th grade unless you had to repeat. i was 4'10 in the 7th grade
