I Need people who have Cochlear Implants! This is actually an interveiw!?

1. How Old were you when you had the surgery?

2. Did your parents make you get the implant?

3. Do you like the implant?

4. What do you like most about the implant?

5. Do you wish you didn't have the implant?

6. Do you wear any hearing aids?

7. What kind of Implant are you currently wearing?

8. Has the implant helped you improve in shcool?

9. Has the implant saved you from any close accidents?

10. Has the implant helped you be more social and make more friends?

I dont have one but i asked one of my students who has one:

1. He was 7 when he had the surgery
2. They didnt make him but they mentioned it to him. He was adopted and was not able to communicate well because he was in the system so they figured it would be best for his development
3. He loves it but also likes to be able to take it off to get some quiet time
4. That he is able to talk to people who do not know ASL
5. Not at all
6. No
7. COMBI 40+ CIS
8. Yes, he is allowed to be in normal classes instead of special education
9. Not that he is aware of
10. he thinks so because he is able to talk to just about anyone.
