Don't think ice can sharpen or dull processor blades, when i bought my processor, many years ago ,i was told that the steel could not be dulled by ice, lemonade was the drink demonstrated to customers.Over the years I have found this to be true.

I've tried that. I dont really see any difference. However, the area of the blade that is closer to the handle seemed to cut better than the area farthest away. I tested this by laying the knife on a bar of butter and pushing it down slightly. The edge closer to the handle cut easier...but maybe thats because its closer to the handle, and it would have something to do with energy transfering or something

Can I crush ice-cubes with my food processor?
No, very hard items can spoil your blades. Crush ice the natural way or use an ice-crusher.

I don't think so... I mean when skates grind ice, it makes them more dull. So common sense would say that it doesn't.

No, if that was true you would never have to sharpen ice skates!
