I was able to take my iPod on the airplane when I traveled this past Thanksgiving. You may want to check personally with your specific airline.

Yes, you can certainly take it on an airplane, along with a laptop, a DVD player, etc. THe only things you cannot use during a flight is anything that transmits a signal -- anything considered "wireless." But -- you cannot use the ipod from the time the door is closed until the plane reaches 10,000 feet. They will announce when it is OK to use it. Then, shortly before landing (back below 10,000 feet) they will announce to turn off all electronic devices.

Yes you can take ipods on planes but no wireless devices are surposed to be on when you fly, this has something to do with the turbulance of the plane when your up there. I was listening to my ipod fine all the way to the otherside of oz last time i flew. I don't know what your countrys regulations are but we have no problems here.

You may bring it on the plane, though you will be asked to turn it off during takeoff and landing. It may be out of your sight briefly while it passes through the TSA security screening device. This will not cause any harm to the device or your downloads.

Of course ... but they will ask that you not turn it on until they chime the cabin that the aircraft is above 10000 feet.
The only items that are restricted are transmitters and receivers like radios and cell phones. (And GPS devices).
