Where can I buy plastic dowels and caps to make my own wedding invitations...Please help!!?
I have searched high and low for weeks...Dowels are hiding from me...lol. I have ordered a few scroll wedding invitation samples from various places and "I KNOW" I can do this for well under half the cost. Please help..

Ms. Penni, Wouldn't wooden ones work also from a craft store? or, maybe a large craft store would have the plastic ones.

If you did it with the small diameter wood and stained the wood would probably be nice. Instead of capping like a sealed scroll, even one the was rolled up on a small diameter wooden dowl sealed with Candle Wax would be nice on a Old English type baked paper with slightly burned edges.

I'm sure you will come up with something and maybe even nicer and more creative and just as inexpensive as you want. However; it sounds very nice anyway.

Even if not caps, a nice golden elastic-thread tied in a bow would be a nice touch.

Good Luck!

Maybe you "COULD", except you can't get supplies. That's their edge. They probably make their own. Craftsmanship is much more than just buying pieces and assembling them. Best to just pay them for what they do best.
