My babies score was 0-3-5...She started college this fall, with honors and schlorships having won more awards than anyone in her high school, and even gone to nationals in a business club competition!
Apgars are only a tool. I vividly remember walking into the Doctors office when my daughter was a week old and hearing him say "I didn't see any way this little girl would be normal." Today that is a source of pride for her! Of course breastmilk has a lot to do with it, as it is proven to raise IQ scores...but remember, just because your child has a low apgar does not mean problems for life! Don't worry or rely on it as your souce of fear!
Congratulations on the birth of you new blessings!

Yes my sons was around the same range, and he does have some developemental delays. This is a hit and miss. What you need to look for as your baby grows is those normal little things they do. Is baby crying when he is wet. Is he moving and sqeeking like little ones do. Does he move his head to the sound of you voice? As he gets older is he moving his hands is he chewing on things this starts about three months, is he looking at the world around him? My son did not do most of these things. He is not severly damaged though, just mildly.
Try googling premature babies and their apgar scores. Just know that low apgar does not always mean brain damage OK every child is different and some children are real fighters and will not suffer any ill affects.

My son's apgar score was a 3, and he is fine now. He did have to stay in the NICU for a week. He had a hole in his heart that ended up closing. He had all kinds of problems when he was born. Thank God he is fine!

I in simple terms regarded this up so i'm no specialist, yet.. in the journey that your toddler rankings between 4 and six, he would favor some help respiration. this can advise some thing so straight forward as suctioning his nostrils or massaging him, or it ought to point giving him oxygen. in the journey that your toddler rankings 3 or a lot less, he would favor on the spot lifesaving measures, jointly with resuscitation. save in thoughts, notwithstanding, that a low score at one minute does no longer advise that your toddler gained't ultimately be in simple terms superb. from time to time toddlers born ahead or presented by cesarean area, for instance, have decrease-than-favourite rankings, extraordinarily on the only-minute testing. The 5-minute Apgar score This helps your practitioner see how your toddler is progressing or perhaps if he has answered to any initial medical intervention. A score of seven to ten remains seen favourite at this factor. in the journey that your toddler rankings 6 or a lot less on the 5-minute mark, he would favor medical help and your practitioner will make sure what steps favor to be taken. different articles said that a low a million minute, and 5 minute score isn't indicative of destiny issues, and a low score at 10 minutes, ought to point some themes, yet...a 7 at ten minutes is interior favourite degrees, so imagine effective!

My daughter scored a 2 4 and 8. She is now 2 and is perfectly fine. Her low score was caused by the fact that she got stuck in the birth canal and also had meconium aspiration sickness. She was in NICU for 12 hours for observation. Now she is perfectly healthy and getting into everything! living up to the nickname of hurricane Hannah!

My son was born at 29 weeks and his scores were 0-1-1, and he is now 2 1/2 and no delays. He know all the primary colors and some other colors, can recognize most letters of the alphabet, and can recognize numbers.

My nephew had a stroke when he was born. He is now a normal preteen.
However, as a pediatric nurse, I do have to tell you, that unfortunately all that you can do is wait and see. You will not be able to find any articles predicting this, because the doctor's have no way of knowing themselves.
