cause they have an itch??
They can't use tissues??
there is something there they just can't reach to flick it off??

other that their having an itch... dogs like cats wants smooth surface or they just want the feeling of rubbing their nose to your legs

My dog uses his nose to push things around, particularly things that stand upright, like buckets, trash cans,myguitar. I have no idea why he does this.

Because they want ot know what you smell like, and they also want some attention.

Cause they don't have any hands and pant legs are convenient! I hate it when they do that!!!
