I am a true Christian and we wre discussing in Sunday School of how hard it was to actually just picture in your head of how hard it is to picture God smiling or laughing! Whenever we see God in out heads he is so serious or sad or mad but once you think about it, God is always smiling or laughing.

I never said that God never smiled... I said that it was hard to picture him smiling...

I agree! We discussed the same thing and whenever I picture God in my head I think of such a mysterious person... It makes me tingle inside of how much he loves us nad how much he put into making me and everybody else on this Earth... He is amazing

1 Timothy 1:11 calls God "the happy God". So it makes sense that he is not always mad or sad or serious. We as imperfect humans get affected in a different way by things around us. God knows that He will fix all the problems in the world and He is already doing and working at it. So He is happy. He is also happy when He sees people on earth who want to know about Him, who don't blaspheme Him even when things go wrong, and sees people who trust Him and believe He will bring an end to wickedness on earth and everything that makes people sad. (Psalm 37:10,11, 28,29; Revelation 21:4)

Its even harder for a muslim to imagine God laughing because unlike the Christian concept of God, He is not humanlike in anyway and we were not created in his image. There is a hadith that mentions God smiling or laughing which is very hard to comprehend or picture

I don't have a hard time picturing my version of God laughing. It is the Bible God I picture as upset most of the time.

I believe God must have a sense of humor, after all, He did create the platypus didn't He?
Also, He created us in His image, in which case humor is a characteristic. To quote Larry the Cable Guy, "funny is funny, it don't matter who you are".

Yes, no one knows what God looks like, let alone think that he laughs...
Laughter is a human attribute and may not be applicable to other living entities...

No, I'm sure alot of things I do amuse Him greatly *smile*....also in Psalm 37, it says "God laughs at the wicked, He knows their day is coming".

I have this one picture of these two old guys playing horseshoes and Jesus is in the middle of them and they are all laughing. Jesus has a couple of horse shoes in his hands too. It is great!
