Hey peaches... Some girls get their periods late in life.. .Trust me when I say this.... DO NOT RUSH IT!!! The second you get it, give or take a few months, you'll be wishing you hadnt gotten it yet. You'll get it any day now... Good luck. Seek the professional help of a different doctor if you are feeling like you are banging your head against a wall with your current one. Also, might I suggest speaking with your mother, or a close family female member =)

You can go to another doctor if your parents let you and if it would make you more comfortable. If your doctor that you're talking about is just a regular family practitioner, try a gynecologist. Also if you are smaller figured or very sporty, that could cause you to start your period later. Just because you haven't had a period doesn't automatically mean something's wrong, so you don't need to worry yourself too much...but if it would make you feel better, go see a gyn and they will be able to tell you definitivly if everything is normal. Good luck.

That's ok Sweety,
A girl 17 yrs old hasn't had her's yet either. I told her her not to rush it because you'll have it for a decade or so. Ovarian Cancer
let's rule out. My Mom didn't have it, but my sis did and they got all of it. Please more positivity and less negativity.
Tell you what don't even think about it, and it'll come at the most awkward moment!

That probably makes your cancer risk lower. Women who have started their periods early, have a higher risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer.

Within normal limits still. Although I had a 15 year old patient that had an imperforate hymen. When she finally had the nerve to get examined and get her hymen slit, she had over a quart of menstrual blood in her huge ballooned up vagina. She apparently had been menstruating for several years.

Girls start at different ages. You will. That is why your Dr. isn't worried. I know cancer is a very scary word for women but at your age I wouldn't worry. Just be patient a bit longer.

at 15 you do not have cancer, what age was your mother when she got her period? if you have not started by 16,go see a gyn.it could be nerves, settle down and don't let it bother you so much, you can't live in fear all the time.let nature take it's course.

Everyones body is different, some girls just develop later, you shouldn't be worried. THINK OF IT AS A BLESSING, you have no idea how lucky you are!! (NOTE: I didn't have my first till a month before I turned 16) NO WORRIES

Go to another doctor. A woman doctor.
You don't have cancer, but you do have something to talk about and should be listened to!
