No prozac didn't work for me at all. Lorazipam is a sedative to help you relax, not an antidepressant.

lorazipam is like Xanax. Prozac kicks my depression in the rear. Right out of my head. 50 mg at night along with 2mg of xanax and Im good to go!!!

Celexa (Citalopram), Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil and Cymbalta are all selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs). They are different drugs but they work pretty much the same way, by keeping the neurotransmitter serotonin level from dropping to quickly.

I took Paxil on and off since about 1993 for depression and anxiety and it worked pretty well for me.

I must be the odd duck because I took it and it worked great for me...I only stopped taking it because they didn't make a generic at the time and I could not afford the good stufff. Lorazipam makes you sleepy mostly good for us bipolars during manic times to sleep.

citlopram is generic for celexa its not prozac. I had a friend who took prozac, and it helped her depression. It also helped her to feel numb and not feel anything normal like she should like excitement, sadness over the loss of someone. She was completely flatlined.

I tried Prozac and it wound me to tight, have since been using Citrolopram for the last three years and seems to work well.
