I think the one at walmart is a little more adult. The other one looks like one of those sweaters that preppy boys where that have no sleeves. Not really an attractive look for a bed in my opinion.

If you get the one at Walmart, I would try to get some brown throw pillows to go with it to pull the whole black, white and brown thing together.

Why not also consider some other options...

This is my personal favorite...wouldn't this look stunning with brown sheets.

Good luck and I hope I didn't complicate things.

I don't like either...

The target one is just plain tacky. It looks cheap.

The walmart one is slick but with such a high contrast of colors and such a low quality thread count it won't look nice for long, it will bleed and never look as crisp. Plus it is a DUVET, not a comforter. It is like a giant pillowcase that you put your own comforter inside of.

You should plan to spend a little more on bedding unless you get a good deal. I went to some different websites and started looking for brown friendly bedding on sale, it also seems you lean toward modern styling. Here are some things I found, note how many would be lovely with brown sheets. And make sure you note the care, many are professionally clean only.

In addition to these patterned pieces you might consider solids in any color and pay for a little extra quality. Aqua blue and brown are really pretty together...or you could stay neutral and go with a beige of some sort.

Oh and consider high end bed in a bag sets? These will include sheets but if you get one that goes with your brown sheets, you can swap out for a different look.

You have very nice taste... they are both great! I'd have a hard time choosing, but if I had to pick one right now I'd go with the white and chocolate.

the Walmart one, NO CONTEST..the other? you'd go crazy looking at it (it's way too fussy) and you'd be tired of it in no time..the other is GREAT...classic, somewhat sophisticated...that's the one for you!!!!! however, it does have a lot of white in it; is it washable? (at a laundromat, in one of those big washers) or dry clean only? either way, that's the one for you...enjoy!!
