If you think that you know God and that he wouldn't tell you to do something like that, how can you be sure?

Wow, I just realized something. If I could speak telepathically, we would have a lot of people jumping off bridges..............

I would like to believe that my faith is strong, but I do not believe blindly. If God expressed that he wanted me to jump off of a bridge, I would spend alot of time praying and trying to understand why he would want me to do this. My God has brought me a long way in my belief, and I don't feel like he would just test my faith like that when its already been tested time and time again through other things. Lots of other Christians have told me that its not our place to question God's wishes or his will, but I feel that I'm a much more effective worker for God when I have some comprehension of the reason he leads me into the situations that he does. God knows this makes me stronger and more efficient, and he usually give me the answers that I'm looking for.

Depends on the bridge. Right now I feel I've jumped off a Bridge because He wanted me to...I've been taking classes to be a licensed minister. I don't have $100 for the next set of books due Thursday. I have to trust He is going to do something. It may not be a physical bridge, but as I haven't had a permanent job, it's a real spiritual one and I have to trust.

VERY STRONG= From many different religions I have surmized that people of the cloth believe that god is only a spirit within ones self. If you believe in god, your actually believe in yourself. Now if you told yourself to jump off a bridge, Your common sence would say no-way .

My faith is strong enough to know God will not ask me to jump off a bridge, also God does not speak verbally to us.

yes. I believe that if it was my time to go home, and this was the way He was taking me, I would do it. AND it could just be a test of faith, like Abraham "sacraficing" Isaac. God was testing Abraham's faith. In short, to answer your question, yes, I would. But I also believe God would never ask me to kill myself. Therefore, if I thought God was telling me to jump off a bridge I would ask people around me to pray about it.

Bethany hit it on the head. God has mysterious plans for us. He sent the Isrealites out of Egypt the long way, so as to avoid war with the Philistines. It didn't seem the shortest path, but it worked out for the better.

Why is that a question? That's like asking how strong your wishful thinking is. Do you actually consider belief in something for no reason at all, a virtue? I don't.
I have a feeble faith, and I'm proud of it.

I would if thats what God want me to do. But I hardly doubt that God will let his people do die like that. I believe that God made us to be with him and worship his name and glorify his name.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct you path."
