I don't drugs, first and for most. I had my stomach pumped last night, and I am still experiencing some pain in my throat, and a little in my chest. What can I do?

You had a very stressful invasion into your esophagus, it was unnaturally stretched, so it will hurt for a while. Meanwhile, since your pipes were injured, there are a number of things you can do to avoid infection and ease pain and speed healing:
1- When I have an injury, I take vit C with bromelain and a calcium prepraration (like Bone Up) and lysine every 4 hours for a few weeks. This is a calming formula my dentist prescribed for me when I broke my hand. (oddly enough dentists know a lot about bones and tissue repair). My bones knitted in 3 weeks, which is record time.

2 -Also some people put some 3% hydrogen peroxide into a little nasal pump and squirt it onto the back of their mouths. This is purported to stop infections and energize you. My family squirts with no ill effect. In fact if you are tired, it is energizing.

You can use ice chips or a "throat spray" like cholaseptic or the "lozenges" cough drop that will "numb" the tissues,be careful when you eat or drink using the spray etc,it would be easy to choke because of the numbness.Take care. SW RNP
