HOme depot and lowes wallmart anything like that, how do i ask them to donate items for a ministry that helps fix houses, give things to the orphans, or to anyone in need?????????

ok this is a general plan that seems like it would work in most situations. get a gun and a small, adorable little animal, and threaten to shoot the animal if they don't contribute. i know this sounds dumb but really think about what you would do if you were told this.

This has been easy for our church. We ask if they are willing to donate something, and we tell them what we are doing. It helps if this is a charity, according to the tax laws. Most larger stores have a department to handle this. You may need to ask for the store manager. It is good to do this in person. Be polite no matter what happens. Thank them for their time and gift. Write a personalized follow-up letter, and tell how the gift was used. Most places will make 1 donation a year. don't "wear out your welcome".
